
Nurse Practitioner

Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive post-operative management for cardiac surgery patients in a step-down setting
Perform daily patient assessments, including monitoring clinical status and recovery progress
Manage medications, including titration and adjustments based on patient needs
Coordinate care plans in collaboration with cardiac surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
Address post-operative complications and initiate appropriate interventions
Facilitate patient and family education related to recovery, medications, and discharge planning
Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
Qualifications
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
Board certification (ACNP, AGACNP, FNP, or related)
Experience in cardiology, cardiac surgery, or acute care preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and medical‑surgical care
Excellent clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills
