Your Role
Dietary Services Aide

in a skilled nursing community. This role supports meal preparation, service, and sanitation to ensure residents, families, visitors, and staff receive accurate, timely meal service in a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment.

What You’ll Do

Assist with food preparation for residents, visitors, and staff, including special events and activities

Attend and serve food during in-service or staff meetings as requested

Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, maintaining sanitary conditions

Set and clear tables before and after meals

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining area

Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control practices

Adhere to Americare’s Mission, Vision, Hometown Hospitality™, and F.A.M.I.L.Y. values

Support the dietary team with additional duties as assigned

What You Bring
Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years of age

Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers

Ability to follow supervisor instructions safely and efficiently

Commitment to maintaining resident confidentiality and professionalism

Adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable state and federal regulations

Physical Demands

Stand, sit, walk, and change positions frequently

Lift or carry up to 25 lbs.; push and pull up to 50 lbs.

Reach, balance, kneel, stoop, and bend as needed

Safety Requirements

Follow all safety policies, including use of carts for moving items

Wear skid-resistant, supportive footwear to prevent slips and falls

Use protective hand equipment when handling knives, sharp objects, or hot surfaces

Utilize required PPE such as gloves, hairnets, and beard guards when handling food

Report work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentation

Participate in company drug testing procedures

Work Environment
This role operates in a professional kitchen environment, utilizing stoves, dishwashers, refrigerators, coolers, and other food service equipment.
