Role Overview
Occupational Therapist – Staff Level I. Responsible for evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning of all patients referred for their services. Supports patients to achieve the highest level of function and upholds Jefferson Health's mission, vision, and values.
Collaborates with other health care professionals to coordinate treatment plans and care.
Essential Functions
Provide therapy evaluations, treatment planning, interventions, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload in acute care, skilled facility, acute rehab, and outpatient settings.
Participate in student education, including part‑time engagement with students such as ICE and OT Level 1, or full‑time students.
Engage in education and teaching commensurate with novice clinician experience.
Plan, organize, and deliver treatment programs that aid clients in recovery and rehabilitation.
Utilize tools and techniques to administer safe therapeutic interventions and trainings for patients and families.
Record and document clients’ health progress information for evaluation, including daily treatments, progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
Experience
0–2 years of clinical practice required; 1 year preferred.
Licensure & Certifications
Valid state license in Occupational Therapy. National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification required. BLS and CPR certification required via AHA.
