American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient setting, open to new grads and first-time travelers, with a flexible schedule of either four 10-hour or five 8-hour shifts per week.

Freestanding outpatient physical therapy facility
Patient population is approximately 70% orthopedic and 30% neurological, with a variety of diagnoses
All patient sessions are one-on-one; evals are scheduled for 60 minutes and treatment sessions are typically 30 minutes, with some at 45 or 60 minutes depending on the case
14 evaluations are blocked per week per therapist, with the remainder of the schedule consisting of treatment sessions
Chart review time is built into the schedule: two 30-minute blocks per day for 8-hour shifts, or three 30-minute blocks per day for 10-hour shifts
Specialized programs on-site include pelvic health, lymphedema, LSVT, chronic pain, and vestibular therapy
Multidisciplinary team includes PTs, PTAs, OTs, and SLPs
Day shift; therapist may choose between four 10-hour days (8:00–18:00) or five 8-hour days
No on-call, no floating within or to sister facilities
Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Epic is the EMR used at this facility
Requirements
Active MO state PT license required at time of consideration; pending IL license is acceptable for IL-based candidates (must be noted)
License required if applicable
BLS certification required
New graduates and first-time travelers are welcome to apply
Epic EMR experience preferred; training will be provided during orientation
Additional Information
Orientation consists of approximately 1.5 days of general hospital orientation followed by 1.5 days of department-specific orientation, after which the therapist will begin with a patient load
Additional charting time is provided during the first one to two weeks
Business casual attire required
No more than 7 days of RTO allowed per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to this facility system as a traveler
Travelers may work up to 18 months consecutively before taking a mandatory 3-month break; allied travelers are limited to 12 consecutive months before a required 6-month break
