Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Coordinator to provide clinical mental health services within a structured environment. This role focuses on delivering non-medical mental health care, including assessments, counseling, and treatment planning for individuals in custody.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive mental health screenings and assessments through record reviews and clinical interviews
Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and functioning levels
Provide counseling services and crisis intervention as needed
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in healthcare records
Ensure strict confidentiality of all sensitive information
Apply psychological counseling theories and techniques in treatment delivery
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care
Qualifications
Education:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field from an accredited institution
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience; At least 2 years in a similar role
Licensure/Certifications:
Active and valid LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license in the state of practice
Additional Requirements:
Valid driver’s license (preferred or required based on contract); Social Security Card required for facility clearance; Background screening (DS) will be completed prior to start; Strong assessment and diagnostic skills; Experience in correctional or similar environments preferred; Excellent documentation and communication skills; Ability to handle crisis situations effectively; High level of professionalism and ethical standards
Work Schedule
Day shifts, typically 8 hours
8-week contract assignment
Facility clearance required prior to start (scheduled by facility)
