As a
Registered Nurse (RN) , you’ll take full ownership of a group of patients, delivering
safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care .
You’ll:
Provide care using evidence-based practices
Ensure patient comfort, education & satisfaction
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Supervise and guide support staff
Play a key role in improving patient outcomes and unit performance
Key Responsibilities
Assessment
Perform ongoing patient assessments & make independent clinical decisions
Care Planning & Execution
Develop, implement & adjust care plans
Work closely with patients, families & care teams
Evaluation
Monitor patient progress & document outcomes
Patient Education
Educate patients & families during stay + discharge
Leadership
Delegate tasks, mentor staff & support teamwork
Participate in quality & safety improvements
Shift & Weekly Hours Breakdown
Shift Timing:
6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (Night Shift)
Shift Duration:
12.5 hours
Typical Schedule:
3 shifts/week
Estimated weekly hours: 12.5 hrs × 3 shifts = 37.5 hours/week
Schedule Includes: Every other weekend
Overtime: Possible based on unit needs
Requirements
Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIH
Experience:
2+ years acute inpatient (PCU preferred)
Systems:
Epic experience required
License:
KY RN license (must have at submission)
