Overview
The Food and Nutrition Department on our Manhattan campus is seeking a Full-Time and Part-Time Registered Dietitian to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team. Full-time is 5 days a week and part-time is 3-4 days a week. Both positions include occasional weekend shifts.
Position Summary
The Registered Dietitian provides comprehensive nutrition assessment and clinical nutrition services to residents in both long-term care and sub-acute care units. This role supports resident health outcomes through individualized care planning, regulatory documentation, and education.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct nutrition assessments and provide clinical nutrition services for long-term and sub-acute care residents
Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation, including MDS 3.0
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans
Provide nutrition education to residents, patients, and family members as needed
Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings
Conduct meal rounds to ensure quality, safety, and resident satisfaction
Collaborate with nursing, medical, and rehabilitation staff to support resident care goals
Requirements
Registered Dietitian (ADA credential required)
Minimum of two years of clinical experience in long-term care preferred
Knowledge of MDS 3.0 and regulatory requirements
Strong communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
