Job Description Summary
Pharmacist position responsible for completion of ambulatory infusion prior authorizations and entry of medication therapy plans into Epic.
Responsibilities
Pharmacist position responsible for completion of ambulatory infusion prior authorizations and entry of medication therapy plans into Epic.
Work with a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to evaluate medication requests, ensuring adherence to guidelines, facilitate and complete the prior authorization process in a timely manner, entry of medication therapy plans into Epic, and communicate to medical teams when needed.
The position will report to the Infusion Prior Authorization Pharmacy manager and the pharmacy system director for ambulatory infusion.
Follow-through on all assigned tasks, be accountable for assigned work metrics, and contribute to optimizing medication access for patients.
Qualifications
Education: PharmD or RPh, SC pharmacist license in good standing
Previous experience with Epic EMR, Epic therapy plans, infusion medications, and completion of prior authorizations preferred
