Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Nutrition Assistant I at CHI St. Vincent, you will directly interact with patients and visitors everyday. You will personally ensure all dining areas are safely sanitized, well-stocked, and food is appropriately prepared. You understand most guests at our facility are dining with us for a reason and take great pride in giving them one less thing to worry about.
Responsibilities
Set up trays for hospital patients, following posted menus and patient room service requests while taking individual likes and dislikes into account.
Collect dirty trays and dishes from patient care areas and clean in an automatic dishwasher.
Return dishes to proper storage areas.
Ensure all food handling areas are sanitized and disinfected for the safety of employees, patients, and guests.
Exhibit high degree knowledge in food preparation and food production.
Accurately portion meals and beverages, with attention to detail concerning dietary restrictions.
Support team members in all areas of food services including cashier, stocking, cleaning, tray service, dishwashing, food storage, etc.
Qualifications
One (1) year of Food Service or Customer Service Experience.
High School Graduate General Studies.
Preferred Qualifications
Cashier experience.
Pay Range
$15.00 - $19.65 /hour
