Job Description
Independently, is responsible for service on low, medium, high risk and life support equipment (Tier 1-5) as described in the URMC Environment of Care 'Medical Equipment Management Plan'. Under minimal supervision, is responsible for service on selected high risk and life support equipment as described in the URMC Environment of Care 'Medical Equipment Management Plan'. Position involves preventive maintenance, safety inspection, calibration, installing, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electromechanical and electronic devices, training peers and other technicians. Position requires servicing equipment in a hospital environment. Individual must be willing to work in close proximity to patients and staff in Intensive Care Units, Operating Room settings, Patient Rooms etc. Position must have the ability to interface with all the members of the Clinical Engineering team effectively as well as clinical staff. Individual must have excellent customer service skills.
Salary
$28.50-$39.91 an hour
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements
Education: AAS degree in Electronic Technology with particular emphasis on Biomedical Engineering Technology and Electronic Test Equipment maintenance, calibration and repair preferred; or equivalent experience
Experience: two to three years of experience that is closely related within a hospital, the military or any other comparable organization
License/Certification Required: None
Skills: Basic computer skills necessary; Advanced networking and system integrations a plus. Able to read schematics and mechanical diagrams
