Job Summary
Baptist Medical Center is currently hiring for a Full-Time Days Patient Access Rep II at our Southbank Plaza location here in the Jacksonville, FL area.
This is a full-time day shift position Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. This position is in a call center environment. In this role, you will take ownership of tasks related to patient access and contribute to outcomes that enhance Baptist Health’s reputation and ensure a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
Registers patients accurately and efficiently
Utilizes multiple systems and interfaces
Cross-trained to work in multiple patient access areas
Maintains service excellence for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
Contributes to PAS goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
Maintains a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
Articulates compliance documentation and ensures completion of required patient consent forms
Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
Experience Requirements
1-2 years Customer Service experience required
1-2 years Healthcare experience required
1-2 years Insurance experience required
Education & Credential Requirements
High School Diploma required
