Summary
Leader in Training (LIT) and Floor Leader – responsible for fulfilling Buckle’s mission to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our guests. Performs a variety of sales, merchandising, and operational tasks assigned by store management, including cashiering, merchandise display and pulls, register procedures, and routine facility cleaning. Collaborates directly with the Store Manager and Leadership Team to develop sales, recruit new teammates, and provide leadership across the store.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range:
$16–$19 per hour. Final offers depend on skill set, experience, location, and qualifications. For sales positions, compensation consists of a base rate plus commission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet guests with a friendly and engaging attitude, providing legendary service at all touch points.
Answer store and merchandise questions, recommend and locate items based on guest needs, and demonstrate product knowledge.
Maintain awareness of sales promotions, payment policies, and security practices, and use the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG) daily to achieve sales goals.
Support teammate recruiting, training, and development by identifying hiring opportunities, coaching new teammates, and fostering a positive floor culture.
Own visual merchandise zones, enforce visual standards, and identify merchandising opportunities from freight to display.
Perform operational duties such as scheduling, opening/closing checklists, loss‑prevention practices, and point‑of‑sale procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and customer‑focused store environment.
Provide constructive feedback, communicate policy violations, and signal service or safety concerns to management.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not carry supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related retail experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
Guests will stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
