Lead Host Position
The Lead Host is a senior host who greets guests and ensures an impactful and memorable restaurant experience from start to finish.
Greets guests as they arrive; gathers pertinent information; delivers guests to the front of house team
Oversees the seating and menu presentation to all guests, ensuring high-quality service
Supports the management team by training all new hosts
Takes reservations over telephone, via email, and in person; records them properly in the system
Manages and maximizes the reservation book
Answers guests’ questions
Creates and communicates daily floor plans
Highlights problem areas and develops solutions
Demonstrates a positive, smiling, empowering, and motivational attitude
Delegates effectively with professionalism
Oversees cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant entrance
Ensures all supplies required for front‑end operations are available
Performs other duties as required or assigned
Compensation
Hourly: $20–$23 + tips
Qualifications
1+ year of experience in a high‑volume restaurant
Basic computer skills
Excellent communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Job Requirements
Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule, often including evenings and weekends
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to exert well‑paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
