Job Overview
3D Production Artist (VR/Simulation) – 6‑month full‑time engagement with a global client in Santa Clara, CA. Full benefits are provided by Kelly Outsourcing Consulting Group.

Key Responsibilities
Build detailed 3D environments for training simulations, including anatomical spaces.
Optimize CAD models of surgical instruments for real‑time performance.
Create high‑quality textures and PBR materials.
Set pivot points, create collision meshes, and configure lighting.
Maintain efficient import pipelines for Unreal Engine and/or Unity.
Develop and optimize shaders for simulation environments.
Support storyboarding and interaction design (optional).
Required Qualifications
Deep expertise with Maya, 3ds Max, and/or Blender.
Hands‑on experience with Unreal Engine and/or Unity, including asset import, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of LODs, topology cleanup, texture efficiency, and shader performance optimization.
Solid understanding of PBR workflows, UV mapping, baking, and rigging fundamentals.
Strong visual eye for lighting, shading, silhouette, and materials.
Ability to balance realism, performance, and instructional clarity.
Proficiency in collaborative iterative design processes.
