Production Supervisor – Day Shift – Processing
Abbott Nutrition in Casa Grande, AZ is seeking a Day Shift Supervisor in our processing department to develop strong people‑leadership and operational experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop leadership competence through hands‑on coaching and mentoring, learning how to deliver results across safety, quality, cost, delivery, and engagement.
Lead and engage a shift‑based team of operators to consistently meet food safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency expectations.
Maintain a strong, visible presence on the production line to reinforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety behaviors, allergen controls, and standard work.
Create and sustain a safe work environment with 100% focus on safety training, procedural compliance, sanitation standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FSMA, SQF/BRC).
Coordinate shift start‑ups, handovers, and daily production activities to ensure smooth execution and positive outcomes across a multi‑shift operation.
Manage people and processes to ensure products meet all quality, food safety, and regulatory standards.
Partner with your manager to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support change initiatives that improve safety, quality, throughput, and team performance.
Communicate department, site, and business goals clearly to the team, providing direction and accountability aligned to operational priorities.
Actively participate in department and site initiatives, owning execution of assigned actions and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Track, trend, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, production, and waste; communicate results, risks, and action plans to functional and site leadership.
Follow established escalation, deviation, and incident‑management processes, contributing input and making decisions appropriate to your level of accountability.
Support responsible cost management with limited budget accountability (up to $2M USD).
Shift Schedule
12-hour day shift, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, with alternate weekend off.
