The Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI BioFabUSA) is a Member-based non-profit organization founded to build the biofabrication industry and transform the future of healthcare. ARMI provides wrap-around commercialization services to companies seeking to bring life-saving regenerative technologies to patients, as well as to innovators seeking to commercialize enabling technologies that will grow the industry\'s impact.
The Impact That You Will Make
ARMI | BioFabUSA, an organization with nearly 200 members, is seeking a highly motivated intern to support its laboratory support operations. ARMI is in the process of implementing materials management and equipment management systems to support its Process Development Team. You will develop valuable skills in inventory management, facility layout, equipment scheduling, process mapping, and procedure-development, the operation of state-of-the-art equipment, and the shipping and handling dangerous goods.
Your Role
Receive materials into inventory, label inbound materials, and assist with resolving any material, documentation or invoice discrepancies.
Stock cleanrooms with general use items
Trains to and follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a Phase 1 GMP environment
Support SOP authoring and deviation investigations as needed
Assist with the general housekeeping of cleanrooms and warehouse
Perform Weekly and Monthly Safety checks
Support Compressed gas and Liquid Nitrogen receipt and handling
Support a Min/Max kanban inventory management system
Support execution of continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
Support biological waste and general waste workflows
Support the Work Order System including documentation, execution, and contractor / visitor escort
Your Skills And Experiences
Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment
High energy, commitment, initiative, and perseverance
Can work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational skills
Ability to take initiative and persevere through challenges
Passion for learning and development
Familiarity with MS Office 365 applications
Ability to work on feet for at least 6 hours and lift 50 lbs, 25 lbs overhead, as needed
Hours Expected: 30 - 35 per week
