Job Summary and Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and vascular procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structures.
Obtain patient history, explain routine procedures and address patient concerns.
Maintain patient records and files.
Perform all ultrasound techniques and examinations, including abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, limited obstetric and gynecological scans, carotid imaging, peripheral plethysmography, Doppler waveform, segmental pressure, venous imaging, and thoracic outlet studies.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Perform procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist’s expectations and protocols.
Display knowledge and comply with National Patient Safety goals.
Support and report any identified compliance matters.
Participate in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
Maintain professional development and education for technical competency.

Job Requirements
Graduate from a school accredited in Radiologic Technology, upon hire.
Graduate from an AMA‑Accredited Sonography Program, upon hire.
Graduate from an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and equivalent clinical experience, upon hire.
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer within 12 months, or
Registered Cardiac Electrodiagnostic Technologist within 12 months, or
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist within 12 months, or
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – Abdomen within 12 months, or
Registered Technologist – Computed Tomography within 12 months, or
Registered Technologist – Radiography (ARRT) within 12 months, or
Registered Technologist – Vascular Sonography within 12 months, or
Registered Vascular Specialist within 12 months, or
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) within 12 months, or
Registered Vascular Technologist within 12 months.
Basic Life Support – CPR, upon hire.
Pay Range
$33.11 – $49.25 per hour
