What Ultrasound Contributes to Cardinal Health
Diagnostic Imaging uses advanced technology to create images of internal body structures, helping to assess clinical conditions and support diagnosis and treatment. This includes procedures like MRI, ultrasound, X-rays, CT scans, and PET scans. Ultrasound offers services that use high-frequency sound waves to examine tissues and organs inside the body, helping to diagnose various conditions, including cancer.
Responsibilities
Perform routine diagnostic ultrasound procedures per physician orders and department protocols
Ensure high-quality images and proper documentation for radiologist interpretation
Prepare patients for procedures and provide clear instructions and support
Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality at all times
Accurately enter and manage patient data within EMR/PACS systems
Follow established imaging protocols and escalation any concerns as needed
Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment
Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement processes
Collaborate with team members to support efficient workflow
Qualifications
0‑2 years Ultrasound Technologist experience preferred
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification required
Breast Imaging experience highly preferred
CPR/BLS certification preferred
Must be available to work a 4/10 work schedule with no exceptions
