Overview
The Assembler performs precise electronic assembly work, including placing and soldering components according to instructions and drawings. They ensure high-quality, reliable builds by following standardized procedures, maintaining documentation, and adhering to safety and cleanliness standards. The role also supports efficient production by setting up work areas, handling parts, and assisting in a structured manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Perform work instructions to complete product assembly according to standardized work procedures.
Build assemblies using work instructions, work orders, and drawings as a guide.
Place, align, and install electronic components onto assemblies with precision and attention to detail.
Perform soldering of electronic components (through-hole and/or surface mount) in accordance with applicable standards and workmanship requirements.
Inspect solder joints and completed assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
Maintain accountability for product and process quality levels and required documentation.
Set up equipment in preparation for production orders.
Receive parts and sub-assemblies in the work area.
Complete pre-assembly work if required.
Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
Ensure that all work meets quality and safety standards and procedures while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the area of responsibility.
Hands-on experience with component placement and soldering of electronic assemblies (through-hole and/or surface mount preferred).
Familiarity with quality standards and documentation in a production environment.
Experience using assembly tools and equipment, including microscopes and basic test and inspection tools.
Additional Information
This position may require access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition of any job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you may need to obtain a U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
