Overview
Residential Nurse - Sign-On Bonus of $5,000 for Registered Nurses
The Residential Nurse works collaboratively with the medical provider and the rest of the residential treatment team to provide holistic care. This will include providing alcohol and drug-focused nursing assessments, oversight of medication and self-administration, coordination of care for ongoing treatment, and facilitating biopsychosocial groups.
Part-Time / Non-Exempt
Schedule: 25 hours/week
Pay Range begins at $40.00
Responsibilities
Participate in screening of referrals and complete alcohol and drug-focused assessments as part of the admission process.
Coordinate care for all health needs.
Facilitation of biopsychosocial-educational groups in the program focused on health.
Maintain appropriate clinical records and reports according to established timelines.
Assist in the development of recovery plans and connect to needed resources.
Ensure medication reconciliation of all client medications.
Participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings regarding client treatment and meets regularly with the Residential Medical Provider.
Oversee self-administration of medication and adherence.
Provide transportation to clients for appointments as needed.
Provide nursing services related to withdrawal risk, comorbid medical problems, and pain.
Provide coverage for other levels of care when needed.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse in the State of CT. Previous experience with recovering persons and behavioral health is preferred.
Previous experience with an electronic health record preferred.
Must have organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk, using the phone, and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
Valid Driver’s license.
