Interventional Radiology Technologist - Travel Assignment
Fusion Medical Staffing – Cath Lab is seeking a skilled travel Interventional Radiology Technologist to support a 13‑week assignment at a facility in Woodbridge, Virginia. The role involves assisting physicians with minimally invasive procedures, operating advanced imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications
Required:
At least one year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification, compliant with state regulations
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred:
Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Valid state radiologic technologist license
PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification
Other relevant certifications or licenses (as required)
Responsibilities
Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
Operate imaging equipment including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound to guide procedures
Assist physicians during sterile procedures—scrubbing in, passing instruments, maintaining sterile field
Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details
Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and self
Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring readiness
Manage and restock procedural supplies (catheters, guidewires, contrast agents)
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and team members to provide seamless patient care
Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols
Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures
Perform additional duties as assigned to support IR lab operations
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

Proficient in reading, writing, and oral communication in English
Ability to read/write instructions, follow verbal commands; PC proficiency
Physical: can remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend
Interpersonal: work effectively with varied personnel; maintain positive attitude
Technical: fine manipulation, push/pull, move about during procedures
Mental: cope with public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work semi‑independently
Visual: adequate acuity and effective communication
