Job Summary
Position: Clinician II
Job Type: Pool / Non‑Exempt
Shift Details: As Needed / 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Work Location: Crisis – Franklin County Crisis Care Center, Columbus, OH
Salary/Hourly Wage: $32.00 – $36.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Guest Care & Advocacy:
Serve as mental health professional until enrollment in other community services.
Conduct thorough clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
Assess needs and provide appropriate support and referrals.
Offer short‑ and long‑term recovery‑oriented therapeutic counseling and education, individually or in groups.
Provide family education and counseling.
Facilitate recovery education courses.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Determine provisional diagnosis, obtain documentation of medical necessity, and submit authorizations for service timely.
Complete clinical documentation and incident reports as required.
Keep abreast of federal & state regulations and Recovery Innovations policies.
Adhere to compliance standards per Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
Additional Duties:
Perform other related duties assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field from an accredited college or university.
Licensure: Associate licensure in good standing in an applicable behavioral health field required; state professional certification where applicable.
Experience: Minimum of one year of behavioral health experience.
Skills: Basic computer skills; verbal & written communication; excellent documentation; attention to detail; problem‑solving; effective listening; pass de‑escalation training.
Driving Requirements: If required, meet all Recovery Innovations driving policy; otherwise sign Non‑Driver Attestation form.
Miscellaneous: Must be at least 18 years old; travel required; complete credentialing process; maintain confidentiality per HIPAA; second‑chance employer policy (background, substance abuse, education verification, fingerprinting, vehicle report).
Physical Demands
Work may involve close eye work and substantial wrist, hand, finger motions, frequent sitting, standing, walking. May lift up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment
Office or behavioral health facility; may have contact with agitated/confused individuals.
