Position Overview
CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support clinical operations at a federal correctional institution in Cumberland, Maryland. FCI Cumberland is a medium-security federal correctional institution with an adjacent minimum-security satellite camp in western Maryland, approximately 2.5 hours west of Baltimore. You will administer medications, perform clinical procedures, and support patient care alongside RNs and physicians.
Key Responsibilities
Administer oral, topical, and injectable medications with accurate documentation
Perform vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, wound care, and specimen collection
Assist with sick call triage and intake screening
Support chronic care clinics
Monitor patients for adverse reactions
Maintain medication storage areas
Document interventions in BOP electronic health record
Required Qualifications
Accredited LPN/LVN program completion
Active, unrestricted Maryland LPN license (or ability to obtain)
Current BLS certification
U.S. citizenship required
Ability to pass federal background investigation
Preferred Qualifications
Correctional or long-term care experience
IV therapy certification
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 annually
