
Cardiovascular Invasive Rad Tech - Part Time

The Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic testing and assists with interventional procedures, according to established departmental procedures, ensuring quality patient care. Diagnostic testing includes X‑ray and interventional procedures in Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Labs, supporting coronary and peripheral interventions, closure device implants, electrophysiology studies, ablations, and device implants. The Technologist operates diagnostic equipment, including peripheral equipment, to obtain optimal test results and manages the patient during procedures to meet patient care standards. Supplies are maintained and equipment problems reported to appropriate staff. The Technologist scrubs in during procedures, documents events electronically, and is required to be on call.
This position actively participates in and supports preceptoring of new employees and clinical education activities where applicable. It also supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating teamwork and cooperation.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited radiological technologist school required.
License/Certification: Licensed by the State of NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) required; Registered as an American Registry of Radiology Technologist in Radiography (ARRT)(R) required; BLS for Healthcare Providers required; ACLS required within 12 months from date of hire or transfer.
Experience: 1–2 years interventional cardiology experience preferred; peripheral experience preferred. Candidates must possess the ability to multitask with fine detail in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency in Clinical Applications is preferred at time of hire; incumbents will be trained and required to achieve this skill within 30–60 days from hire. NJDEP State License expires every two years and must be renewed biennially. ARRT expires on the incumbent's date of birth and must be renewed annually.
