Description
Trains in and performs the appropriate selection, dosing, administration, and dispensing of medication orders as defined by the American Society of Healthcare Pharmacists (ASHP) residency standards.
Responsibilities
Manages pharmaceutical care and protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
Reviews, interprets, and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug‑related problems.
Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
Applies critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
Requirements
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy.
Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a pharmacist within 120 days of hire.
Minimum Experience: None required.
