POSITION DUTIES
Abstracting
Minimum Required Qualifications
High school degree (or equivalent)
2+ years’ experience as a Trauma Registrar/Abstractor
2+ years of experience with Level 1 or 2 Trauma Centers
1 year in Health Information Management
ICD 10 data abstractor system experience
AIS 15 Course
Trauma Registry Course
EMR/Registries in DI or CDM (trauma)
Meditech Expanse or Epic or Cerner EMR experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Coding or Health Registry abstraction experience
Certified in CSTR or CAISS
Undergraduate (Associates or Bachelor) degree or successful completion of a certified coding program
RHIA, RHIT, CSS, LVN or RN
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT
6 months
SHIFT / HOURS PER WEEK
40 hrs/wk. Flexible hours as long as available for training during normal business hours.
