Position Purpose
Join Mercy Care Atlanta as a
Registered Nurse (RN)
and play a pivotal role in delivering compassionate, quality healthcare to underserved and vulnerable populations. Under the guidance of the Clinical Nurse Manager, you’ll provide clinical leadership in an outpatient clinic setting, working closely with a diverse patient base including uninsured individuals, homeless persons, and immigrants.
What You Will Do
Manage the
Vaccines for Children Program , ensuring compliance with vaccine protocols and maintaining accurate inventory.
Conduct health screenings such as blood pressure, glucose, vision, hemoglobin, TB, and flu shots.
Obtain medical histories, evaluate overall health, and collaborate on patient care plans.
Educate patients on topics like nutrition, diabetes, hypertension, and vision care in collaboration with health educators.
Coordinate referrals to Mercy Care and other healthcare providers with Medical Referral Specialists.
Support physicians and healthcare providers as a resource in the clinic.
Participate in health fairs and community events up to four times per year.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Active RN license in Georgia and current CPR/BLS certification.
Two years of nursing experience in an outpatient setting preferred.
Passion for serving underserved.
