Responsibilities
Provide world-class pharmacy services by assisting the Pharmacist in assigned areas of drug procurement, preparation, storage, inventory control, distribution, orders, and dispensing.
Monitor and replenish medication inventory using automated dispensing cabinets and inventory management technology
Prepare compounded sterile products
Maintain controlled substance inventory with high accountability and accurate documentation
Education
High school graduate or equivalent GED required. Successful completion of algebra, clerical, and science courses preferred. Computer classes and experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Must have or be eligible for an Indiana Board of Pharmacy Tech in Training license or a current State Board of Indiana license as a Pharmacy Technician or Intern. A Tech in Training program is offered internally. Full Technician or Intern licensure must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
Experience
One year pharmacy experience and/or pharmacy technician oriented formal class work preferred.
