
Inpatient Pharmacy Allied Health Student (Per Diem)

Purpose of Position
Prepares, dispenses and controls medications and other pharmaceuticals in accordance with applicable Federal, State, professional standards and laws, Joint Commission recommendations and hospital standards, policies and procedures. Prepares data reports upon request assisting in data analysis.
Description
All accountabilities of the Pharmacy or Allied Health student are performed under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
Obtains and verifies medications for distribution to the patient care units.
Distributes medications to the patient care units.
Orders medications from various suppliers.
Prepares parenteral products.
Maintains the medication inventory, places orders in stock.
Performs other duties as directed/requested.
Prepares data reports assisting in data analysis upon request.
Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co‑workers.
Qualifications
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Must be currently enrolled in a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program or an allied health program. Must meet one (1) of the following licensure/certification requirements:
Registered as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee
Registered as a Pharmacy Intern
Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
Schedule Details
Per Diem Hours, Rotating Days, 8a-4p, Rotating Weekends & Holidays.
