Physical Requirements:

Regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods, walking including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 10 lbs, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Exposure to loud noises, blood-borne pathogens, and occasional cuts and punctures.

Shift:

Monday – Friday, Day Shift; primarily 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (40 hrs/wk); holidays and weekends as needed

Job Summary
This position is located off-campus in Lexington, KY at UKHC Fountain Court. The Patient Relations Assistant is foundational to facilitating an engaging and positive patient experience.

Greeting patients

Patient registration

Insurance verification

Cash handling

Medical record preparation

Scheduling appointments

Procuring new patient records

Communicating information with patients via telephone and in person

Answering telephone inquiries

Supporting efficient patient care and clinic initiatives to improve attendance and keep records

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Customer service experience, communicating calmly and helpfully during stressful situations

High attention to detail

Teamwork mindset

Data entry skills with respect for confidentiality

Task prioritization and efficiency

Ability to work in multiple systems simultaneously
