Control Room Technician
Job Description
Join our team as a Control Room Technician, ensuring seamless medication delivery to long‑term care facilities.
Location: Onsite at our closed‑door pharmacy, 962 South Dorset Road, Troy, OH 45373.
Compensation: $17–$18 per hour, plus $2+ per hour shift differential.
Schedule: Monday to Friday: 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM; rotating weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities
Adhere to Remedi’s Code of Conduct, follow Remedi’s compliance policies and procedures, and report any suspected violations of any federal or state laws to either your direct supervisor, Human Resources or the Compliance Officer.
Package and label controlled substance medications into specialized packaging according to valid prescriptions for final pharmacist review.
Manage workflow and monitor orders to ensure all controlled substances entered for dispensing are packaged, labeled, verified, and properly toted.
Stage and tote all finished products, completing chain‑of‑custody documentation for courier hand‑off.
Assist with maintaining accurate documentation and records for controlled substances.
Enter and update the pharmacy’s perpetual inventory system, including Controlled Inventory Management (CIM) for Schedule II medications dispensed, received, or removed.
Assist with prepackaging of controlled substances for future use and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained.
Fulfill replenishment requests for long‑term care facilities’ on‑site emergency supplies.
Support audits and inventory processes as needed.
Unpack and stock items received from the wholesaler (under pharmacist supervision) and immediately escalate any missing or tampered items to the Supervisor or PIC.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written with English as the primary language.
Skills & Abilities
Strong computer skills.
Thorough understanding of medical terminology and drug knowledge.
Math and analytical skills, with a focus on calculations.
Minimum of two (2) years working in a long‑term care pharmacy preferred but not required.
