Overview
Position is responsible for overseeing the operations and development of the behavioral health workforce program, including managing staff, developing programs, ensuring quality of care, advocating for access to services, and coordinating with community partners to address mental health and substance abuse needs within the scope of the OTTAC project. The Program Supervisor may also assist the Executive Director in identifying gaps in services and implementing strategies to recruit, train, and retain qualified behavioral health professionals.
Qualifications
Certifications: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work; Master’s Degree in Counseling

Responsibilities
Works with behavioral health leadership and the project team to establish standards of practice for team members and offer recommendations on increasing support capacity within the organization and statewide. Uses innovative, evidence‑based and community‑identified strategies to support team members in meeting projected program deliverables. Develops and maintains knowledge of current trends and emerging practices in the behavioral health workforce. Hires, supervises, and evaluates program team members across disciplines, ensuring proper staffing levels and addressing performance issues. Assesses gaps in workforce services and develops programs or trainings to meet programmatic and grant sub‑award needs. Supports and trains program providers throughout the organization, offering guidance on workforce development matters. Completes required program and organizational documentation. Monitors and assesses team performance to ensure delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based services. Provides clinical supervision to program staff as required by certification and licensing boards. Creates and maintains onboarding and training materials. Develops and implements training to ensure staff competence and ongoing education. Promotes recovery from substance abuse and mental health conditions; encourages employment, self‑sufficiency, education, health, and community integration. Monitors staff performance, ethical practice, training needs, and service delivery practices while ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and accrediting documentation requirements.
Compensation And Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $35.54 per hour – $61.13 per hour. The actual compensation offered will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked, and compensation model.
