Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Freight Forwarder to manage and coordinate international and domestic shipments. The ideal candidate will oversee the end-to-end logistics process, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate air, ocean, and ground freight shipments from origin to destination
Prepare and review shipping documentation (B/L, commercial invoices, packing lists, COO, etc.)
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export laws, and trade requirements
Communicate with carriers, customs brokers, warehouses, and overseas agents
Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or issues
Negotiate rates with carriers and vendors to optimize shipping costs
Provide accurate shipment status updates to customers
Maintain shipment records and update internal systems
Handle cargo insurance, claims, and discrepancies when necessary
Qualifications & Skills
2+ years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics (preferred)
Knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, and international trade regulations
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency with logistics software and Microsoft Office
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
