Patient Care Technician
General Summary Of Duties
Under supervision, performs routine non‑professional and professional care; unbagging and bagging equipment, making up post‑op kits, directing doctors and patients to the appropriate rooms, assisting medical staff with patient care, performing visual fields, setting up patients for required testing, keeping instruments and equipment sterilized, maintaining adequate supplies, and keeping front and back waiting rooms in order. Pulling, pushing, cleaning gurneys, cleaning and organizing pre‑op/post‑op rooms.
Requirements
Graduate of a patient care tech program preferred and at least six months’ related experience in assisting with care of patients.
Current American Heart Association certification.
BLS certificate required.
