at Phoenix Water Solutions, your primary objective is to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of freshwater distribution systems within multifamily communities. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, valves, and fittings across multiple properties, directly supporting system reliability, water conservation, and cost savings for our customers.
You will also respond to plumbing emergencies, including water meter issues and property leaks, requiring strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve critical situations quickly and effectively. Your work plays a key role in maintaining Phoenix Water Solutions’ reputation as a trusted and dependable water services provider.
Expected Outcomes (Within the First Six Months)
Accurately install pipes, valves, and fittings for freshwater systems.
Repair and maintain plumbing systems to prevent leaks and ensure proper operation.
Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies and resolve issues efficiently.
Perform routine inspections to identify and address potential issues proactively.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate schedules and prioritize work.
Follow all safety regulations and company policies consistently.
Maintain professional and positive interactions with customers and property staff.
Use tools, equipment, and materials efficiently to ensure quality workmanship.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
Demonstrate continuous improvement in plumbing techniques and job performance.
Key Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain freshwater piping systems from the saddle to the meter in multifamily communities.
Diagnose and resolve plumbing emergencies related to water meters and property leaks.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plumbing systems.
Accurately document work performed, time spent, and materials used.
Utilize onsite and mobile software applications to record job details and updates.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all job sites.
Qualifications
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools required for the plumbing trade.
Working knowledge of safety regulations, job site safety practices, and industry standards.
Ability to read and follow blueprints, site plans, and rough drawings.
Experience working with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper piping.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to complete plumbing work independently and without direct supervision.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Proficiency in basic math and measurement conversions.
Physically able to sit, stand, kneel, and work in the field for extended periods.
High school diploma or GED.
1–3 years of hands-on experience as a journeyman plumber or equivalent field experience.
