Key Duties / Responsibilities
Operate various production equipment monitoring overall performance, efficiency and quality.
Perform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance.
Sample and monitor product quality coming off the system, making modifications as needed.
Troubleshoot packaging system performance and quality problems, correcting them and stabilizing performance as they occur.
Replenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted.
Supports the manufacture of personal products through a continuous production operation, requiring an understanding of work methods and procedures as well as various binding machines.
Work is typically routine, although some discretion may be allowed. Applies limited knowledge and expertise applicable to specialty for the implementation of predominantly short-term tasks and projects for business needs.
Other duties as assigned. This job description describes one skill (or part of a skill) within a multi-skilled production team member job.
Decision Making
Mechanical troubleshooting, production/priority decisions relating to maintenance and quality.
Qualifications
Minimum 0 - 3 years previous machine operating or production experience in a team environment preferred.
Average to above average mechanical ability helpful.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Manufacturing Environment - walking, standing, bending, twisting, grasping, reaching above and below shoulder, lifting up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and up to 70 pounds on occasion. Must wear hearing protection on the production floor.
Additional Information
Hourly Pay Rate: $17.50 and up DOE, plus $1.75 hourly shift differential
Hours: 2nd shift (Monday- Friday 3:00 pm – 11:30pm)
