How you’ll make an impact in this role
Program Implementation & Evaluation: Direct a comprehensive infection prevention program by planning and evaluating evidence-based control measures to mitigate risks and enhance patient safety.
Surveillance & Outbreak Investigation: Lead rigorous surveillance and epidemiological investigations to identify infection sources, implementing rapid containment strategies for known or suspected outbreaks.
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure 100% compliance with local, state, and federal public health regulations by analyzing evolving standards and managing mandatory disease reporting to government authorities.
Strategic Education & Research: Collaborate on the delivery of specialized clinical education and participate in epidemiological studies to evaluate new care delivery methods and the impact of emerging health products.
What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Certified Certification specializing in Infection Control credentialed from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC) preferred.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing preferred.
Education
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What Additional Preferences We're Seeking
Registered Nurse strongly preferred
Experience with infection prevention a plus
