St George Hospital is seeking an experienced and dynamic team leader pharmacist for a full-time temporary position. In this leadership role, you will be at the forefront of providing specialised pharmacy services.
Responsibilities
Lead the clinical pharmacy services in your designated practice area, managing and mentoring pharmacists, technicians, and support staff.
Coordinate and oversee the delivery of clinical services, ensuring adherence to best practice, ethical standards, and legislative requirements.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, research, and the development of pharmacy practices, while supporting the educational needs of staff.
Ensure that pharmacy services operate efficiently and that patients receive timely, high-quality pharmaceutical care.
Role Context
The Team Leader Pharmacist, Emergency and Critical Care, is a leadership and clinical role. The purpose of the role is to lead and coordinate a team delivering comprehensive pharmacy services across St George Hospital and affiliated services for the defined practice area of Emergency and Critical Care, including areas such as the Emergency Department, Short Stay Unit, Intensive Care Services and Trauma. The role works with site/service level and district teams to maintain leadership and efficient performance of pharmacy services. All Team Leader Pharmacist roles are integral members of the St George Hospital pharmacy leadership team to provide strategic, clinical and operational objectives for the pharmacy service. The position has joint responsibility with other Team Leader and Lead Pharmacist positions to maintain leadership, management and continuity of service provision across all operational hours.

Qualifications
Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with post-registration clinical or management/leadership qualifications or equivalent skills/experience.
