Community Hospital Anderson located in Indianapolis, IN offers a position for an Operating Room Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). The CST will be responsible for scrubbing on a variety of surgical cases, assisting surgeons, and anticipating their needs. The role requires knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique.
Responsibilities
The operating room CST will:
Scrub on a variety of surgical cases.
Assist surgeons and anticipate their needs.
Maintain sterile and aseptic technique throughout procedures.
Qualifications
Graduation from a CAAHEP‑or ABHES‑accredited Surgical Technology program, or graduation from an NCCT‑authorized school with completion of a GED or high school diploma. Associate degree preferred.
Graduates of a Military Training Program in Surgical Technology that is not accredited must provide a copy of a DD214 stating the base where the program was completed and a graduation certification.
Current Surgical Technologists with an associate degree or higher in another field and who have completed at least 120 surgical cases within the last four years and completed 30 continuing education credits within the last two years may also be considered.
Certification from the NBSTSA obtained within six months of hire.
1 year of operating room experience preferred.
Strong written, verbal and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills are required.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and multi‑task with a high degree of responsibility and responsiveness.
Self‑directed and motivated, takes direction well.
