Responsibilities
Evaluate and develop a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.
Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians) as appropriate.
Bill within the respective setting and follow facility guidelines.
Adhere to state PT board rules and regulations.
Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care.
Understand adaptive equipment and apply it as needed.
Evaluate, modify, and document the plan of care as indicated by the patient\'s condition.
Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks and maintain timely, accurate documentation per state and/or insurance guidelines.
Qualifications
Experience: 1 year preferred; exceptional candidates with 6 months of relevant experience may be considered.
Licensure: BLS and state-specific PT licensure required.
Physical requirements: ability to stand and walk for long periods; ability to bend, lean, or stoop as needed. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Certifications: additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
