We are currently looking for a Claims Manager to join our Management Solutions Group to work out of any of our 4 WTC, NY or Parsippany, NJ office.
The selected candidate will lead and direct a team of Legal Claims Professionals in low to high exposure Public Directors and Officers (D&O) Claims. The Claims Manager is expected to coordinate the work activities of the team, and has responsibility for performance, development, and coaching of staff. The Claim Manager will also act as a technical resource for the team. This position has clear and distinct accountability for business results and is expected to manage internal and external customer relationships. The Claims Manager plays a critical role in interacting to exchange timely information with upstream claim managers and line of business underwriters as well as developing, maintaining and servicing broker and account relationships.

Basic Qualifications
Juris Doctor and 8 or more years of experience in the OR Claims handling or insurance defense area
OR
Bachelors Degree and 9 or more years of experience in the Claims handling or insurance defense area
OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 11 or more years of experience in the Claims handling or insurance defense area
AND
3 or more years of management or leadership experience
Experience with Microsoft Office
Knowledge of insurance legal statutes and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Experience handling D&O, EPL and/or other Financial lines Claims
Experience collaborating across work groups
In-depth knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance legal and regulatory environment
Ability to effectively present information to LOB manager, claimants and customers
Analytical Skills

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. If your expectations are above the listed range, we still encourage you to apply—your unique background matters to us. The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location. The proposed Salary range for this position is $160,000.00 - $225,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
