Position Summary
The Cardiac Rehab RN evaluates cardiac patients and formulates a nursing plan of care; implements the plan; evaluates the patient's and families' nursing care needs and provides health educational needs for patients. Manages patient care assignments; demonstrates professional and clinical competence; provides age specific care; supports program compliance and maintenance of all records and logs; provides daily clinical nursing services.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
Associate or Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
Experience
One year of recent and relevant experience in a Coronary Care, Intensive Care setting or Cardiac Rehabilitation
Current Illinois RN license
Current CPR and ACLS certifications required.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
The ideal candidate must be able to work and complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Demonstrates the ability to work accurately and effectively in oral and written directions and communication.
Enjoys working with people and works cooperatively with other hospital staff.
Medium Lifting, generally lifting not more than 50 lbs. maximum with assistance, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
