Logistics Financial Analyst
for a long-term contract opportunity with our client in
Santa Ana, California .
Overview
The logistics financial analyst provides analytical and operational support to supply chain planning and warehousing/transportation operations departments. This role focuses on monitoring logistics spend, analyzing key performance indicators, and identifying cost-saving opportunities to optimize logistics costs through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly and quarterly logistics expense reports, focusing on freight and warehouse costs
Assist in the preparation of annual logistics budgets and financial forecasts
Monitor KPIs, identify trends, and analyze variances impacting logistics costs
Perform variance analysis comparing actual logistics spend to forecasts and previous periods
Maintain and update financial models used for logistics cost forecasting and simulation
Extract and organize data from ERP systems and TMS/WMS
Ensure the integrity of logistics financial data for executive reporting
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or supply chain management
1-2 years of experience in accounting, cost accounting, logistics, or related field
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, basic macros)
Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI) is a plus
Exposure to ERP systems or logistics/TMS/WMS software
Problem solving and analysis skills
High attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet tight reporting deadlines
Ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively
Proficiency in Korean language is preferred
Drug Screen may be required.
