Primary Responsibilities
Own shift performance, including safety, quality, throughput, labor efficiency, and waste
Lead daily shift startup, execution, and handoff to ensure consistency across all shifts
Actively manage line performance in real time, including:
Monitoring run rates and output
Identifying and addressing downtime
Escalating issues quickly when needed
Drive adherence to standard work, operating procedures, and GMP requirements
Ensure all products meet defined quality standards, including weight, appearance, and packaging requirements
Partner closely with Maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and rapid response to issues
Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all EHS requirements
Lead and develop front-line employees through coaching, accountability, and clear performance expectations
Ensure proper staffing and positioning of employees to meet production targets
Drive labor efficiency and minimize waste, including material giveaway and rework
Conduct daily communication with team members, including:
Shift huddles
Clear expectations for performance
Feedback on results
Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity
Maintain accurate and timely reporting of shift performance, including downtime, output, and key KPIs
Collaborate cross-functionally with FSQA, Maintenance, and Warehouse to ensure smooth operations
Hold team members accountable to performance, behavior, and attendance standards
Support onboarding and training of new employees to build a capable and reliable workforce
Perform other duties as assigned or of a similar nature or level

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar fields
Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred, demonstrated by successful completion of a major improvement project
Ability to interface effectively with plant personnel, outside contractors, and different functional groups within the business units
Working knowledge of manufacturing and quality systems, finance, statistical process control, and KPI management systems
Demonstrated leadership in safety & quality compliance
Must be very effective working in a volatile and complex environment and work with a sense of urgency that drives effective results
Strong influence management and communication skills, ability to gain organizational buy-in
Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of an organization
Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making
Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others
Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building skills
Experience in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and energized equipment. The noise level in the work environment varies depending on tasks
