The general pay scale for this position at MOH is $19.82 – $30.49 per hour. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, etc.
Responsibilities
Coordinate office procedures with medical staff and the billing office to ensure smooth flow of information within departments.
Participate in the completion of the month‑end close checklist for all assigned items to meet or exceed corporate timelines.
Implement and comply with Company Reimbursement Policies and Procedures to maximize efficiency.
Review all attorney requests and records to ensure proper authorization has been obtained and all documentation is present.
Oversee insurance verification process, including patient financial counseling, to ensure patients are apprised of financial obligations.
Ensure that authorizations are obtained in a timely manner.
Review posting of charges from encounter forms and hospital charges within 24 hours. Review daily encounter forms for completeness and accuracy, following up with the appropriate person(s) for complete information.
Maintain knowledge of current health care and billing trends and practices.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum three (3) years of medical office experience.
Physical Demands

Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and other office equipment. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for prolonged periods of time.
