Overview
We are seeking a skilled
System Administrator / Cloud Operations Specialist
to manage and optimize infrastructure, ensuring the reliable operation of critical systems. This role requires strong experience in cloud platforms, Linux administration, and automation, along with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain production environments to ensure uptime, performance, and reliability
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and system-related issues
Scale infrastructure by provisioning and configuring servers and cloud resources
Develop, enhance, and maintain automation scripts and workflows
Create and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures
Debug complex production issues and deliver effective technical solutions
Deploy and manage critical applications and services
Support installation and maintenance of hardware in data center or colocation environments
Manage network connectivity and infrastructure components as needed
Technical Skills
Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudFront, Route53, and load balancing
Familiarity with cloud storage, backup, and database services
Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch
Strong experience with Linux systems (e.g., CentOS, Amazon Linux)
System configuration, patching, and ongoing maintenance
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible
Automation & Scripting
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python
Experience automating infrastructure and operational processes
Networking & Infrastructure
Understanding of networking concepts and cloud networking
Experience working with infrastructure in data center or colocation environments
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in system administration, cloud operations, or DevOps
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience managing and optimizing production environments
Ability to work independently and perform under pressure
Hybrid schedule with a mix of onsite and remote work
Candidates should be located within commuting distance of the Greater Phoenix area
Flexibility to support rotational shifts, including evenings and weekends
