Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily operations at a specialty chemical manufacturing site in greater New Orleans. This role oversees all plant production activities while driving safety, reliability, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Lead day-to-day production operations and support long-term planning
Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient plant performance
Collaborate with site leadership on budgeting, capital planning, and operational strategy
Build, coach, and develop operations personnel; support training and onboarding
Partner closely with maintenance, supply chain, and other plant functions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related) highly preferred
4-6+ years of hands-on chemical manufacturing experience
3+ years in Lead, Supervisor, or Manager-level role
Proven capabilities to drive cultural change and instill Operational Excellence practices
