Job Details
Responsibilities
Perform dimensional and visual inspections on aerospace machined parts, castings, and complex components
Complete First Article (AS9102) and first-piece inspections with minimal oversight
Set up, operate, program, and maintain CMM routines for repeat inspection workflows
Interpret complex engineering drawings, 2D prints, and 3D CAD models
Apply advanced GD&T interpretation for tight-tolerance aerospace requirements
Complete inspection documentation including FAIRs, nonconformance reports, routers, and inspection records
Ensure all product meets aerospace customer and regulatory standards prior to release
Partner with engineering on inspection methods and drawing clarification
Support first-article flow, quality release timing, and downstream production continuity in a high-output environment
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade certifications a plus
Minimum 5 years of aerospace or precision machining inspection experience
Strong, hands-on background in advanced GD&T interpretation (advanced level required)
Proven experience with CMM setup, operation, and programming
Proven ability to independently interpret complex 2D prints and 3D CAD models
Experience completing AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
Comfortable working in a high-output, production-driven aerospace environment
Ability to work 1st Shift, 4:00 AM – 4:30 PM (built-in overtime schedule)
