About the Role
We are hiring a hands‑on Production Control Coordinator to support daily operations in a precision manufacturing environment. This is not an administrative role — it is a production‑focused position responsible for controlling job flow, managing travelers, and ensuring materials and production readiness across the shop floor.
You will play a critical role in ensuring jobs move efficiently through each stage of manufacturing while maintaining accuracy, traceability, and material control.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own and manage manufacturing travelers from release through completion
Control production flow and job routing across multiple operations (cutting, machining, finishing, inspection)
Perform hands‑on production scheduling, including job prioritization, sequencing, and batch planning
Track WIP (work‑in‑process) in real time and proactively resolve production bottlenecks
Determine raw material requirements, sizing, and utilization prior to job release
Verify material readiness, dimensions, and documentation before production begins
Ensure tooling, fixtures, and machine readiness prior to job start
Work closely with CNC programmers, technicians, and inspection teams to maintain production efficiency
Maintain accurate production records, traceability, and documentation
What We’re Looking For
Experience in production control or hands‑on production scheduling within a manufacturing environment
Proven experience owning travelers and controlling production flow
Strong understanding of raw material planning, utilization, or production readiness
Hands‑on involvement with shop floor operations
Experience with work orders, WIP tracking, and job routing
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, JobBOSS, etc.)
This is a hands‑on production role — candidates with primarily purchasing, buyer, or administrative backgrounds will not be a fit.
Nice to Have
Experience in precision, aerospace, optical, or technical manufacturing
Experience in job shop or custom manufacturing environments
Exposure to material yield, blank sizing, or production planning concepts
