SVDP NOLA VISTA Project - Digital Comm & Website VISTA

Overview
The SVDP VISTA Project strengthens long-term pathways out of poverty by expanding adult education, workforce development, community assistance systems, and organizational sustainability across Southeast Louisiana. VISTA members will build capacity by developing curricula and tools, improving referral and data systems, supporting outreach and partnerships, and creating infrastructure that enhances SVDP’s ability to serve low-income residents.
Member Duties
AmeriCorps members will strengthen the organization’s digital communications systems by improving and maintaining website content, developing social media strategies, and building sustainable processes for outreach. They will review and update website content to ensure information is accurate, accessible, and easy to navigate. Members will create a social media content calendar, develop templates and guidelines, and support consistent messaging across platforms. They will also build a centralized library of photos and digital content to support outreach and storytelling. In addition, members will develop workflows, document procedures, and create simple systems to track engagement data. This work will improve access to services, increase community awareness, and support long-term communication capacity.
